Julie is a founding partner with primary practice in commercial litigation, business disputes, and creditor’s rights. Having commenced her legal career with a pre-eminent construction law firm, Julie has extensive experience in the traditional construction law arena of payment bonds, mechanics’ liens and construction litigation.  Over the years, as construction clients diversified, the non-construction related commercial work became Julie’s forte.

Julie developed an expertise in secured transactions and the financing industry, handling commercial litigation involving all aspects of inventory financing and small business loans (repossessions, replevin, garnishments, levies and guarantor actions), and leading up to many years as outside counsel for a bi-coastal factoring company.

In this context, Julie has handled business organizations, corporate disputes, bankruptcy, and employment law matters. This includes complex litigation in the areas of non-compete agreements, TROs, and injunctions proceedings. Julie serves as outside counsel in defending a major global financial services company in its routine litigation in the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia. Julie also routinely serves as local counsel in the federal courts in D.C., Maryland, and Virginia for out-of-state practitioners.

Julie has clients that have retained her services since she began practicing law over 25 years ago. She has seen these clients through corporate organizations and re-organizations.

Julie takes a sincere interest in her clients and an honest and pragmatic approach to business disputes. Julie is dedicated to her clients and strives to reach their goals and exceed their expectations, in a cost-effective and efficient manner.

As far as Julie is concerned, there is no dispute too difficult to resolve with creative thinking and out-of-the-box approaches.   If necessary, however, Julie is prepared to aggressively pursue litigation as an avenue to achieve client goals.
